Campus Maps
A221, A321, A421 Character Animation A-Block
Need help finding your way around the new Character Animation facilities? Check out the map below.
A221 is the main physical space for the Character Animation Program. Administrative, staff, and faculty offices are located in the publicly accessible main hallway, which also serves as a showcase for recent student work. A221 also contains classrooms, a computer lab, and student workspaces outlined below.

A221S Commons Area
The Commons is a multi-purpose space mainly for students to gather and hang out; it is sometimes used for formal and informal gatherings and events. It is directly connected to A221T, A221U, a balcony that overlooks Lulu Von Hagen Courtyard, and the studios via stairway and elevator.
A221S can be combined with the A221T Classroom and A221U The Palace using the folding walls connecting each room to create a larger event space. There is a laptop bar for students to work on the South side of the Commons.
A321 & A421 Animation Studios
The 3rd and 4th floors of A-Block are dedicated to shared and private student workspaces, collectively known as the Studio. There are lockers and desks which are personally assigned for students to use. Additionally, there is printing and scanning equipment, traditional animation desks for paper animation, and down shooter setups for capturing paper work.
Along the inside railing of the 3rd floor are 27 hotdesks, each equipped with a Wacom Cintiq. 24 of these are equipped with a Mac Studio with the same formatting as a lab computer while 3 of the hotdesks are for plug-and-play use with personal computers. These hotdesks are open for use by any student with access to the Studio so are not reserved or assigned.
The South end of A321 is equipped with a pantry/kitchen area which houses sinks, microwaves, fridges for temporarily storing food, and storage space for midnight snacks.
Access
The entry hallway to A221 is open to the public during normal business hours, 9am-5pm. All Character Animation students will be granted access to A221S Commons and A321 & A421 Studios after signing a space agreement stipulating use and regulations. Students outside the Character Animation Program will be granted access to A221S Commons if they are enrolled in a class in one of the connected classrooms.
