A221U The Palace

A221U The Palace is a large, multi-purpose classroom used for larger classes, guest lectures, screenings and other special events. A221U The Palace features a high definition projector and 5.1 surround sound system, connected to a Blu-ray player, a Mac mini with a full complement of lab software, connections for laptop computers and tablets, and a Wacom Cintiq Pro pen display.
The classroom also has a vertical folding retractable wall so that the space may be opened up and combined with the A221 common area for approved special events.
For life drawing classes, rolling LED stand lights and sandbags are available for lighting models.
The classroom has a multimedia presentation system that includes the following:
- 2 Crestron touchscreen controllers for easy instructor operation (one at the front of the room, one at the back of the room)
- Laser projection system + 2 rolling LCD displays
- 5.1 surround sound speaker system
- Blu-ray player
- Apple Mac mini M2 Pro
- Zoom video conferencing/remote learning capabilities:
- Auto-tracking PTZ Camera at back of room to follow instructor
- Wide angle camera at front of room to capture students
- Ceiling beamforming microphone array
- Wireless PA system for voice-lift and conferencing:
- 1 handheld microphone
- 1 lapel microphone
