Time Limits and Eligibility
The Character Animation Open Show is the year-end screening of films created by Character Animation students during the academic year. All films submitted by currently enrolled Character Animation students will be included in the Open Show. However, only films that adhere to the requirements below will be eligible for judging for the Character Animation Producers’ Show.
Producers’ Show Eligibility
Films are eligible for Producers’ Show judging only if they remain under the following time limits and follow the other listed eligibility requirements. Time limits include all titles and credits. Film time limits are bound to the year-level they were started in.
BFA1:
- 1 minute, 30 seconds maximum
- Black and white
- Contains no dialogue and/or audio that contains vocalizations. (Music and post-production sound design/effects are permitted, as long as they don’t contain any vocalizations.)
BFA2:
- 2 minutes, 30 seconds maximum
BFA3:
- 4 minutes maximum
BFA4:
- 7 minutes maximum
Open Show Eligibility
BFA1-4 students currently enrolled in the Character Animation program (2024-25 academic year) are eligible to submit their films to the Character Animation Open Show.
