Time Limits and Eligibility

All films will be included in the Character Animation Open Show. However, only films that adhere to the requirements below will be eligible for judging for the Character Animation Producers’ Show.
Time Limits
Time limits include all titles and credits. Film time limits are bound to the year-level they were started in.
- BFA1: 1 minute, 30 seconds maximum
- Black and white
- Dialogue and/or audio that contain vocalizations aren’t permitted.
- Music and post-production sound design/effects are permitted, as long as they don’t contain any vocalizations.
- BFA2: 2 minutes, 30 seconds maximum
- BFA3: 4 minutes maximum
- BFA4: 7 minutes maximum
Eligibility
BFA1-4 students currently enrolled in the Character Animation program (2024-25 academic year) are eligible to submit their films.
